Going to Nepal

Joe's wild, zany adventures to Nepal and at home.

06 April 2005

I like to ride my bicycle. It's a theraputic thing for me. I was out riding this evening. Up to the top of Gizzley Peak, Skyline, JM, then home. As I was riding up Grizzley, just before the crest, I smelled a familiar odor. The "herbal" variety. And it dawned on me, that kid was going to have to drive his car home. And here I am, wearing my all to sexy tights, jersey and helmet, thinking "what are the chances?" Does it impair your ability to drive a car? All I know is that I was more concerned about some dumbass running me in the middle of the afternoon than I am of getting plowed into by a drunk driver.
In other recent news, Seppo, Ei-Nyung, Alan, Becky and Steve-0 came over for dinner on Friday night in a fit of impromtu dinner party. The four drinking wine did so in not quite excess. Four bottles in 4 hours, not bad. We had a EVOO, balsamic, mustard, salt and pepper marinade pork tenderloin, artichokes, and polenta with sundried tomatoes. Dessert was an excess of chocolate. A flourless tort, chocolate brownies and THREE kinds of chocolate bars. Yummy. We were up till 1. I had a bit of a hang over on Saturday for soccer, but it was worth it.
