Now that was funny....

I'm sitting here watching Arsenal v. Man U. from this past weekend and Moby is wandering about. He is about to sit, farts, and before his arse even touches the ground, walks off. I made him come back and sit down so he could enjoy his "gift".

New Footie Stuff!!!

My cleats are dying. Actually, they really are dead. The inside of the left one is cracked up at the joint for the big toe. Same for the inside of the right one. And the right one has a long, open crack on the outside of the foot. OH, and the left boot has three studs missing. And four more are on their way off. I also misplaced my ball. SO, since I got rid of my Banana Republic gift card that I got from the 'rents to AT (thanks man, YOU ROCK!). I decided to get some new footie stuff.

AND Goals for the Sunday Pick-Up:

Now, I could have gotten a cheaper ball, but it's the Italian National Team ball. On sale. I couldn't say no.

I also want to put out here right now, before anyone else hears another story, CB, my roommate, juked me out of my socks on Sunday. Thoroughly defeated, I couldn't bring myself to chase him down. He scored a goal, and I dejectedly hung my head in shame. I guess it's all payback for when I kicked the ball in his face the week before. Props to CB.

In other news:
I'm taking this weekend off and heading up to Tahoe to see the Fam. It's the ritual "No Working on MY Birthday" get out of town. Last year was an awesome trip to Lassen with KJ, AT and MT, this year it's Tahoe. I think that I'm going to take two weeks off next year and get the hell out of the country. It'll be a fun weekend. Dinner tomorrow with my Cuz and her fam in Lincoln. Tahoe on Thursday, then Reno to see my Grandmother for breakfast, Godfather (the Judge) for lunch, South Lake for dinner. AT, MT, KB, SB, RU are all coming up, not for my b-day, but as a VERY NICE coincidence. Lucky me!!!! We've got dinner reservations on Saturday night, then I'm driving home early on Sunday. Why early? Because I like to. I hate traffic.

Bad day for me......

Well, actually not the whole day. Hell, not even that bad, just, from the right angle, funny as hell. I was heading home to catch a flick with Runt on 880N. Now as you approach 238S the traffic is always slow in this area, I merge in and continue on at about 5mph. Stoopidly I didn't pay attention for a second and realized that I was quickly approaching the car in front of me. I bumped into him (saying I hit him is like admitting that I was in an accident), I got flustered, pulled over. He pulled over. I took my keys out of the ignition, threw them on the passanger seat and grabbed my insurance information and jumped out of my car. He got out of his. He looked at his bumper, rubbed the paint, most of the scuff disappeared. No problem he says. Cool I say as I walk back to my car. I'll make it home in time to catch the movie. I pat my pockets for my keys. Negative ghost rider. They are on the passenger seat of your car. Which is locked because as ALC will tell you, I ALWAYS lock my car when I get out of it. So I dial up AAA. I'm locked out of my car. Okay sir, where are you located? Where 880N meets 238S. Sir, I'm not familiar with those streets, where exactly is that. Those are highways ma'am. Long pause. Yes, ma'am, I locked my keys in my car on the side of the freeway. Not exactly the smartest thing I've done, but also not the dumbest. Long pause. Sir, it doesn't seem to be your day, let's see what we can do about that.
20 minutes later the AAA guy shows up and gets me in my car in less that a minute. He also tells me the story of the only other time that he helped someone who locked their keys in the car on the freeway. That guys story is far more interesting. Mine was only intertaining, fortunately for me I realized that while it was happening. So kids, don't lock your keys in your car on the freeway. And pay attention to the car in front of you. And I've still never been involved in an accident. That caused damage to someone else's car. I rock.

Bad day for the peeps.......

SB and I were going to get dinner tonight, checked in, decided to go for a run first. Meet up at Lake Merrit. "Quick" lap around the lake, I headed home to shower and SB was going to meet me there. He called about 20 minutes later. Someone had broken into his car, taken his wallet and cell. Got all the shite sorted out. Don't use MBNA for your credit cards. Took him an hour to cancel the card. Btiches.

Mean while down in Alameda, UV(P) had managed to leave her keys in her condo when she went to work this morning. Since CP was out of town, she called in the reinforcements. Scale this wall. Open this get the keys. A minor problem occured exposing someone to a 15 foot fall without any pro, but all are safe and sound and the keys are where they belong. IN YOUR HAND BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE HOUSE!!!

Peace out. Off to bed.
